Monika Forejtova moved to Prague from Teplice (2) in 1989 and graduated with a JUDr. and a Ph.D. (3) from Charles University (4) in 2001. During her studies, Forejtova worked as a secretary for Dr. Pavel Cadra, who had a private law practice in Prague. After finishing her master's degree in 1995, (5) she worked for Professor Karel Kifma, who treated her more as a colleague than an employee. Dr. Klima had a small law practice in Prague with his wife, in addition to his teaching position at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. (6) Forejtova considered these two men to be her mentors and looked to them for advice and inspiration. Another mentor was her father, a physician, who had often taken her to his office with him when she was a child.
